These critical questions are addressed for the tenth time at the Prague-Weizmann Summer School on Advances in Drug Discovery. This event connects young scientists with leading experts from global pharmaceutical companies and academia, uniting all key parts of the chain that leads to essential medicines. The event, which has gained international recognition over the past decade, is organized by the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IOCB), the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague (UCT), and Israel's Weizmann Institute of Science. IOCB Tech Family is supporting Czech-Israeli internships - two Israeli students visited the Czech Republic

In collaboration with the Neuron Foundation, IOCB Tech Foundation (member of IOCB Tech Family) gave two talented Israeli students the opportunity to intern at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University, where they could focus on research in the fields of artificial intelligence and cultural heritage protection. The internships were part of the Neuron & IOCB Tech Internships in Israel program, which, however, did not send Czech students to Israel this year due to the ongoing conflict and security situation in the country. Instead, Israeli students were invited to the Czech Republic. Read more

IOCB Tech Booth Showcases the Potential of the Czech Biotech Sector at BIO International Convention

IOCB Tech, Prague.bio Association, and other prominent Czech companies inaugurated the Czech booth at the prestigious international event, Bio International Convention. This is the largest biotech event of its kind in the world, regularly attracting around 20,000 participants from over thirty countries. The official opening was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Czech Embassy in the United States, and CzechTrade agency. Read more

IOCB Tech has opened Pharmtheon High-Tech Center for New Medicines in Prague

IOCB Tech registered a record number of patent applications last year.

During the year 2023, domestic applicants filed 465 new inventions or technical solutions with the Czech Industrial Property Office, which represents a record low number in nearly thirty years. The previous year saw the granting or validation of a total of 454 patents for domestic entities and 4,979 for foreign ones. Read more
