IOCB Tech has opened Pharmtheon High-Tech Center for New Medicines in Prague

Discoveries from IOCB Prague now have a greater chance of being put into practice starting today, and patients with previously untreatable diseases have stronger hopes of receiving effective therapy. IOCB Tech registered a record number of patent applications last year.

During the year 2023, domestic applicants filed 465 new inventions or technical solutions with the Czech Industrial Property Office, which represents a record low number in nearly thirty years. The previous year saw the granting or validation of a total of 454 patents for domestic entities and 4,979 for foreign ones. Read more

Czech Embassy Supports IOCB Tech Family Activities at BIO EUROPE Spring

Zuzana Hlavičková, Head of the Trade and Economic Section at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Madrid, visited the IOCB Tech Family booth at Europe's Largest Springtime Biotech Partnering Event, this time held in Barcelona. IOCB Tech presented an important project at BioFIT in Marseille

IOCB Tech presented a project on Neuro-active Steroids for Treatment of Neuropathic Pain. The project was presented both in the poster section as well as in the category of pitch talks for Collaborative and Licensing Opportunity Presentations. Over 5,000 participants from more than 50 countries and a total of over 30,000 official meetings – that was the outcome of this year's edition of the international BIO-Europe conference in Munich. The Czech Republic was represented by the companies IOCB Tech, i&i Prague, and i&i Biotech Fund (i&i Bio), which are entities associated with the IOCB Tech Group under the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences.  Read more

BioJapan Conference in Yokohama Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary with Czech Participation

The jubilee 25th edition of the BioJapan conference took place this October at the Pacifico Congress Center in Yokohama, Japan. BioJapan is the world's oldest biotechnology conference (since 1986) and ranks among the leading events in Asia in terms of the number of participants. IOCB Tech Participated in an Inspiring Mission to Sweden

A meeting with leading representatives of the Swedish innovation ecosystem, the world's top incubator, universities, active startup investors, a science park, and Czech scientists successfully working in Sweden— this was the program of the mission involving representatives from Czech innovation and transfer centers, along with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Jiří Kozák, to Sweden.
